FAQ's

  • WHAT IS MARMALADE?

    • Marmalade is a preserve made with citrus, by definition marmalade has to include the rind & pulp / juice of citrus fruit. 

  • WHAT IS JAM? 

    • Jam is a preserve made from all edible parts of a fruit (i.e. blueberries, grapes, etc). This is different than jelly which is made by straining out all the skins, flesh & seeds leaving only juice after the cooking process. 

  • ARE ALL YOUR PRODUCTS VEGETARIAN? 

    • Yes! Jams and Pesto spreads are vegetarian, Nut Butters are vegan and gluten free. 

  • DO YOU PRODUCE IN A KITCHEN THAT PROCESSES ALLERGENS? 

    • Our kitchen does current store and manage some products made with allergens and our preserves are made on shared equipment. Those allergens are: nuts, dairy, gluten, eggs & soy. 

    • Our kitchen does not handle meat or any form of seafood

    • We take every precaution to ensure all equipment is thoroughly cleaned to minimize & eliminate the presence of such allergens in our products.  

  • DO YOU PRODUCE IN A KITCHEN THAT PROCESSES PEANUTS? 

    • Yes, see answers above.

  • HOW LONG DO YOUR JAMS & MARMALADES LAST? 

    • Unopened our preserves have a shelf life of 60 days, depending on when you order & when we made it :) 

    • Once opened you must keep refrigerated and we suggest using within 3-4 weeks depending on if any other food particles got in the jar when it was opened!

  • HOW LONG DO YOUR NUT BUTTERS LAST?

    • Unopened our nut butters have a shelf life of 90-120 days, depending on when you order and when we made it :)
    • Once opened, stir well and you can store it at room temperature of 20-22 deg celsius and we suggest using within 4 weeks.

  • HOW LONG DO YOUR PESTO SPREADS LAST?

    • Unopened our ITALIAN BASIL PESTO and PESTO CALABRESE have a shelf life of 21-25 days, SPINACH PESTO DI PISTACHIO has a shelf life of 14 days and PEPITA CILANTRO PEA PESTO has a shelf life of 10 days depending on when you order and when we made it :)
    • Once opened, stir well, refrigerate immediately and please consume within 48 to 72 hours.  

  • WHY IS THERE SATURATED FAT IN YOUR NUT BUTTERS? ISN'T SATURATED FAT BAD?

    • All oils and fats contain some amount of saturated fat, even the healthy ones, but in varying degrees. The oil content of nuts is primarily heart healthy mono-unsaturated fat, along with smaller percentage of saturates and polyunsaturated.
    • The American Heart Association recommends aiming for a dietary pattern 5% to 6% of calories from saturated fat.

  • WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

    • If our products arrived damaged or contaminated in any way, please contact us right away, along with a few pictures and we will be happy to send a free replacement.

    • Due to the nature of our products (food) we are not able to refund or exchange orders once they have shipped. All orders are non-refundable unless there is damage that incurs during shipping; see information above.

  • CAN I CANCEL MY ORDER?

    • If you wish to cancel your order & it hasn’t yet shipped: please email us at info@sasventures.in. A cancellation fee of INR 99 is applicable.

    • If your order has shipped we won't be able to cancel your order.
